With the strong development of the electric drive car in the automotive sector, the market demand for containers suitable to host testing activities is growing, and in particular:

  • Containerized walk-in Climatic chambers for testing lithium batteries.
  • Container for the storage of lithium batteries.
  • Container for testing electric traction vehicles.

SITAL is able to offer containers complete with low and high temperature air conditioning systems, sized in relation to the different testing needs. There is also povided a safety system in compliance with the hazard levels defined by the EUCAR consortium, as per opposite table.

The containerized walk in climatic chambers relized by SITAL are particularly suitable for outdoor installations and are provided with CE certification according to the Machinery

Directive and REI 120 certification. In particular, SITAL uses its own production doors, opportunely designed in order to ensure the double requirement:

  • REI 120 certification
  • A thermal transmittance value suitable for the extreme temperatures of use

It is possible to use treatments or materials suitable for resisting the corrosive actions of internal and external agents:

  • For the internal surfaces: AISI 316 stainless steel cladding
  • For external surfaces: painting cycle in class C5M, according to ISO 12944-5 or, alternatively, use of stainless steel.

CONTAINERIZED CLIMATIC WALK-IN CHAMBER FOR AUTOMOTIVE BATTERY TEST made by double climatic chamber and technical room. The container is suitable for Hazard Level 5 and is complete of:

  • Double walk-in climatic chambers
  • Refrigerating unit suitable to perform tests on with climatic conditions included in a range from -40 to +70 °C
  • Air conditioner for Technical room
  • Safety system suitable for Hazard level 5, completed with:

    • Gas and fire detection system, suitable for operation in the extreme climatic conditions as above indicated
    • Purging system
    • Fire exstiguishing with deluge system

  • Ambient air conditioning system to keep the internal temperature fix to 20 °C
  • Humidity control system
